Senior Engineer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Costing Engineer (5-6 years):

• Estimate and track production costs (materials, labor, overhead).
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and maintain cost reports.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and R&D teams to optimize costs.

Senior Costing Engineer (6-8 years):

• Lead complex cost estimations for new products and tooling.
• Advise on cost-effective production techniques and strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage cross-functional cost analysis.
• Negotiate with suppliers to optimize material costs.

Qualifications:

• Engineer: Bachelors degree in Engineering; 5-6 years of relevant experience in costing for manufacturing, ideally plastic injection molding.
• Senior Engineer: 6-8 years of experience in costing and team leadership within the same industry.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel.
• Understanding of plastic injection moulding and manufacturing processes.
