Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chartered Accountant to join our finance team.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing complex financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance.
You will play a key role in driving financial accuracy, efficiency, and growth.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g, IFRS, Ind AS).
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Tax Compliance & Planning:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations (direct and indirect taxes).
- Prepare and file tax returns and related documentation.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Conduct tax audits and liaise with tax authorities.
Audit & Compliance:
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement internal control procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Perform financial modeling and scenario planning.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial recommendations.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Provide training and guidance on accounting principles and procedures.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Process Improvement & Automation:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software and systems.
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline financial processes.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Provide financial guidance and support to other departments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills:
Accounting Standards:
- In-depth knowledge of applicable accounting standards (e.g, IFRS, Ind AS).
- Expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
Taxation:
- Comprehensive understanding of direct and indirect tax laws.
- Experience in tax planning and compliance.
Auditing & Compliance:
Strong understanding of audit principles and procedures.
- Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Accounting Software:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
Advanced Excel skills.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- Knowledge of relevant company law, FEMA, and other regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a valid membership.
- 7-9 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g, manufacturing, IT, finance).
- Additional certifications (e.g, CFA, CPA).
- Experience with ERP implementation and management.
- Experience in working with multinational companies
