Chartered Accountant (5-7 yrs)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant with a strong focus on Statutory Audit Quality to join our dynamic team in Gurgaon. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of audit compliance and quality, contributing to the integrity and reliability of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of audit standards, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting practices, with a proven track record of conducting thorough audit quality reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Quality Reviews:

- Conduct comprehensive reviews of statutory audit engagements to ensure compliance with auditing standards (SA), company law, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of audit procedures, documentation, and conclusions.

- Identify areas for improvement in audit methodologies and practices.

- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to audit teams.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

- Stay updated on changes in auditing standards, accounting standards (Ind AS), and regulatory requirements.

- Ensure that audit processes and procedures are aligned with current regulations.

- Assist in the development and implementation of internal audit policies and procedures.

Risk Assessment and Management:

- Participate in risk assessments to identify potential audit risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

- Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and recommend improvements.

- Monitor and track the resolution of audit findings and recommendations.

Training and Development:

- Provide training and guidance to audit teams on audit quality matters.

- Share best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

- Mentor junior staff members.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate and complete audit documentation.

- Prepare detailed reports on audit quality reviews and findings.

- Present audit quality reports to senior management.

- Maintain organized files.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in statutory audits, with a strong emphasis on audit quality reviews.

- In-depth knowledge of Indian Auditing Standards (SAs), Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), and the Companies Act, 2013.

- Proven ability to conduct thorough and effective audit quality reviews.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite.

- Experience with audit software is a plus.
