Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Execution of Statutory Audits: Lead and execute statutory audits for diverse clients, adhering to the firm's audit methodology and complying with all relevant accounting standards (Indian GAAP, Ind AS) and auditing standards (SA).
- Compliance and Risk Assessment: Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations, including Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other relevant laws.
- Identify and assess potential audit risks and develop appropriate audit procedures.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact for audit-related queries.
- Effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations to client management.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Guide, supervise, and mentor junior team members, providing on-the-job training and performance feedback.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and review audit documentation, including audit programs, working papers, and audit reports.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all audit documentation.
- Quality Control: Adhere to the firm's quality control procedures and ensure the quality of audit work performed.
- Identify and escalate any potential quality issues.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest accounting and auditing standards, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Contribute to Firm Initiatives: Participate in firm initiatives such as training programs, knowledge sharing sessions, and business development activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- 2 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in statutory audits, preferably with experience working on large and complex clients.
- Strong understanding of Indian GAAP, Ind AS, and auditing standards (SA).
- Excellent knowledge of Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other relevant regulations.
- Proven ability to plan and execute statutory audits effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with audit software is a plus.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
