Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Manager in overseeing daily operations, achieving business goals, and managing a dynamic team. The role requires strong leadership, sales expertise, and experience in admission counseling. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in ensuring smooth team functioning, meeting sales targets, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Team Management:

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team to achieve performance goals and maintain high morale.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss updates, challenges, and performance metrics.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills.
  • Resolve conflicts and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.

Sales Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and prepare detailed reports.
  • Identify potential customers, build strong client relationships, and close deals effectively.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotional campaigns and initiatives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Admission Counseling:

  • Guide prospective students and their families through the admission process, providing accurate information about programs, fees, and application requirements.
  • Evaluate applicants profiles and recommend suitable programs based on their needs and career goals.
  • Organize and participate in counseling sessions, seminars, and outreach programs to increase admissions.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups with leads and maintain an updated database of inquiries.

Operations and Administration:

  • Support the Manager in planning and executing operational strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance requirements.
  • Handle customer escalations and address complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of team performance, sales, and admissions activities.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of admission counseling processes and educational programs.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM and other sales/admissions software.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
