Project Manager

We are looking for a detail- oriented Project Manager to join our organisation

The project manager is a key member of the team, and acts as a bridge between the technical and the managerial committee, communicating with several stakeholders.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop a detailed project plan accounting for the rapid construction process. Since monolithic construction involves casting large sections of buildings in a single pour, the project manager must plan for integrated scheduling of all resources and ensure that the project remains on track for the continuous casting process.
• Plan for phased construction where different components such as columns, beams, and slabs are built separately. Emphasize the coordination of trades, as different tasks will progress at different rates.
• Prioritize speed due to the continuous and time-sensitive nature of large single-pour operations. The project manager must ensure that all elements are ready before starting the pour.
• Perform rigorous checks on the formwork integrity and ensure high-quality concrete mixes to avoid defects, as repairs in monolithic structures can be more complicated.
• Regularly check the quality of individual components such as brickwork, plastering, and woodwork. Ensure quality standards are met at each step of the conventional construction process.
• Manage costs associated with specialized materials for example modular formwork and equipment that are generally required upfront.
• Coordinate between structural engineers, concrete suppliers, and machinery operators to ensure smooth execution of large single-pour sections.
• Ensure constant communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure that both monolithic and conventional construction projects comply with local building codes and environmental standards.

• Bachelors Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Additional certifications (preferred):
• Project Management Professional (PMP): Demonstrates strong project management knowledge.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM): Ensures competency in construction management.
• LEED Accreditation: Shows experience with sustainable building practices, useful in both monolithic and conventional construction.

2. Experience

• Extensive Construction Experience:
• At least 20-35 years in managing large-scale construction projects.
• Proven experience with monolithic systems (for monolithic construction) or traditional building techniques (for conventional construction).
• Hands-on experience in various phases of construction, from planning to execution and closing.
• Experience in managing multiple subcontractors and trades, especially for conventional projects where coordination is key.
• Familiarity with specific construction techniques, materials, and best practices relevant to the type of project.

3. Technical Proficiency

• Knowledge of construction software such as Primavera, MS Project, or other project management tools.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital construction tools.
• Cost estimation skills and understanding of financials related to construction projects.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards, building codes, and environmental requirements.
