Site Engineer, Site Supervisor, Civil Engineer-RDSS & Solar Project

Job Summary:

The Site Supervisor (Electrical) will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site activities related to the RDSS- electrical projects. This role includes managing contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and ensuring timely execution of work as per project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Supervision & Execution:
   
• Supervise and monitor electrical installation, erection, and commissioning activities as per project requirements.
• Ensure adherence to RDSS guidelines and project specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and laborers for smooth execution of tasks.
2. Quality Control & Safety Compliance:
   
• Ensure work is carried out following relevant electrical safety and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify risks and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols by all site personnel.
3. Material & Resource Management:
   
• Monitor and manage the availability of required materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain records of material consumption and work progress.
• Report shortages or discrepancies to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
4. Project Coordination & Documentation:
   
• Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and work logs.
• Coordinate with project engineers and design teams for execution clarity.
• Assist in preparing and submitting reports on project milestones, risks, and deviations.
5. Liaison & Communication:
   
• Act as a point of contact between site workers, engineers, and higher management.
• Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory norms.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly to avoid project delays.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical project execution, preferably in power distribution projects.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical equipment, transmission & distribution systems, and RDSS project guidelines.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Certifications: Electrical safety training and site management certifications are preferred.

Key Competencies:

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Hands-on experience in handling site teams and contractors.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and government regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
