Qualifications
Education:
- MBA or equivalent degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration.
- Preferably with a background in Ayurveda, Pharmaceuticals, or Healthcare.
Experience:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing regional or zonal operations
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in the pharma industry
- Experience in Ayurveda products or FMCG sector preferred
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Fluent in English and local languages (knowledge of Hindi is essential)

Job role:
Key responsibilities:
1. Strategic planning
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve the company's growth objectives across India
- Formulate annual sales plans, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends in Ayurveda products
2. Sales leadership
- Lead and manage a nationwide sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals
- Set sales targets and KPIs for regional sales teams and ensure their achievement
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to the sales team
3. Market expansion
- Oversee market penetration strategies in new regions, with a focus on increasing market share
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key clients
- Ensure effective distribution channels and supply chain management across the country
4. Product promotion
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and product launches
- Drive brand visibility and awareness through targeted marketing initiatives
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote the company's products
5. Financial management
- Monitor sales budgets, costs, and profitability, ensuring efficient use of resources
- Analyse sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions
- Prepare regular sales reports for the senior management team
6. Compliance and quality
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with regulatory standards and company policies
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay updated on industry regulations
7. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution of issues
8. Team development
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning
