INSTRUMENT ENGINEER

• you will be a key contributor to our engineering team, responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of instrumentation systems and equipment
• Your role involves ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of measurement and control systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Instrumentation Design:Design, select, and specify instruments and control systems for new projects or process improvements
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure instrumentation requirements are met
• Instrumentation Installation:Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation systems to ensure they function correctly and efficiently
• Diagnose and repair instrument-related issues
• Instrumentation Optimization:Optimize instrumentation systems to improve accuracy, reliability, and efficiency
• Identify and implement upgrades or enhancements
• Control Systems Integration:Integrate instrumentation with control systems (eg, DCS or PLC) to facilitate process control and automation
• Program and configure control systems as necessary
• Calibration and Testing:Perform calibration and testing of instruments and measurement devices
• Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Documentation:Maintain clear and organized documentation of instrumentation designs, specifications, and maintenance records
• Create as-built drawings and update documentation as needed
• Regulatory Compliance:Ensure that instrumentation systems comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Participate in audits and inspections
• Spare Parts Inventory:Manage spare parts inventory for critical instrumentation equipment
• Ensure availability of essential components
• Safety:Promote safety procedures and practices in instrumentation activities
• Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments
• Training and Support:Provide training and support to maintenance and operations teams for proper instrumentation usage and troubleshooting
