Job Description
- Producing models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing services by agreeing on drawing strategy, type, size of drawings, and drawing numbering with project engineer/consultant/client and suggesting methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working.
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the entire project, covering MEP materials, equipment, and labor costs.
- Lead the BIM/Revit-driven design and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in interior fit-out projects.
- Develop and manage 3D BIM models for MEP services, ensuring efficient design workflows and clash-free coordination.
- Define and implement drawing strategies, numbering systems, and CAD/BIM standards in alignment with project engineers, consultants, and clients.
- Utilize BIM/Revit and CAD tools to produce high-quality 2D and 3D construction deliverables .
- Stay updated with the latest BIM trends, automation tools, and sustainable design best practices to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Use templates for CAD work and use CAD library items to assist in design work and produce construction deliverables in 2D or 3D format
- Prepare and review HVAC Ducting layout, piping layout, piping general arrangements, and pipe routing studies.
- Prepare and review general Arrangement drawings of the Equipment room, plumbing drawings riser diagrams,
- Develop plans and section drawings, Equipment Schedules, and Installation details drawings.
- Responsible for coordinating the assigned scope of work with other disciplines to generate a clash-free design.
- Advanced proficiency in BIM/Revit for MEP design and coordination.
- Expertise in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and construction documentation.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and their integration in interior fit-out projects.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services layout design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in MEP design challenges.
- Understanding of construction, design terminology, and industry best practices.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial MEP design , with a focus on BIM/Revit-driven coordination .
- Proven track record in developing general arrangement drawings, ducting layouts, piping layouts, and riser diagrams
