1. Skilled in BO Administration, Installation, Server management, Patch Upgradations, Users & Groups management and Content management.

2. Have good knowledge in BO tools (Information Design Tool, Universe Designer, Web Intelligence Rich Client, Desktop Intelligence, Dashboards, CCM, Central Management Console, BI Launch Pad (Info. View), Import Wizard, Promotion Management tool and Report Conversion Tool).

3. Experienced in report bursting techniques like Publications & Profiling, Scheduling and Events.

4. Experience with Linux system administration is desirable.

5. Excellent communication skills with exposure to support processes.

6. Flexible and versatile to adapt to any new environment, work on any projects, handling any kind of responsibility.

7. Able to create Automation Shell Scripts.

8. Creation and maintenance of test documents.

Overview :

The Business Objects (BO) Administrator, also known as the BOBJ Admin, plays a vital role in managing the organization's Business Objects platform.

They are responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the system, optimizing its performance, and securing and maintaining its integrity.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Install, configure, and upgrade Business Objects (BO) software.

2. Monitor server and system performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues.

3. Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and ensure compliance.

4. Manage user access, permissions, and profiles within the BO platform.

5. Provide technical guidance and support for BOBJ-related projects and tasks.

6. Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery strategies.

7. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address reporting and analytics requirements.

8. Optimize and tune the BO system for efficient performance.

9. Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.

10. Create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.

11. Train and support end-users on BOBJ tools and functionalities.

12. Stay updated with industry best practices and new features in BOBJ.

13. Participate in evaluating and integrating third-party tools and applications with BOBJ.

14. Conduct performance and capacity monitoring to ensure system scalability.

15. Contribute to the overall data governance strategy.
