Your mission, roles and responsibilities
- The role of PLC Programmer is to keep PLC standards in plants.
- Secure effective update and create new PLC programing for projects.
- Make a change in PLC programs for reaching expected levels of connectivity with DMC and another MP X.0 tools.
- Cooperation on all equipment PLC programming in case of needs.
- Validate and maintain critical spares related to PLC
- Will be able to retrofit the latest PLC and create program logic on old machines.
- Equipment connectivity: Follow up yearly budgeted planning, support plant team during implementation, provide all necessary documents related with PLC equipment changes. Actively work on projects changes according to plan created by MES/Data Tools Leader.
- PLC programs storage: Responsibility for all PLC changes, share back up programs on specific share point, to be available in case of lost data. Owner of PLCs programs library.
- Contribute on new DT: Cooperation with Division, plants and BG/GIT members. Participation on workshops to define new concepts and use cases in plants. Follow up planning of MES/Data Leader and Project Leader.
Continuous improvement process:
- Participate on the Improvement Ideas process according to defined rules and targets.
- Coordinate and / or participate on QRCI (8D Problem Solving) in all levels.
- People Management Should have leadership skills to handle team of 8-10 peoples.
- Train, coach, and develop Maintenance Team.
- Support and train other networks/functions.
Education level: Diploma/ Degree in engineering, preferably in Electronics
Skills and competencies
- Experience in PLC 6-8 years required.
- Leadership skills
- Experience Siemens in TIA Portal, Step 7 minimum (PLC and HMI)
- Allen Bradley & Mitsubishi PLC knowledge will be added advantage
- Skills in profinet/profibus network and proface, read technical and electric documentation and HW devices overview (motors, sensors, scanners etc.)
- Knowledge in IT (SCADA system)
- Knowledge of the OPC tools - Kepware
- Be able to do standard blocks in PLC software.
- Overview about Digitalization tools and 4.0 Industry experiences
- Hands on and result oriented (very pragmatic)
- Fluent in English
