Job Description
The engineer will be working in EngineeringDepartment of Siemens Transformer Factory, Kalwa, Thane, Maharashtra, India.Shall be designing windings and winding assembly for medium and large powertransformers and reactors.

Understandthe electrical design output and prepare winding and winding assemblymanufacturing drawings and Bills of Material for ordering of components
Supportthe winding & winding assembly manufacturing processes, qualityinspections, failure analysis, concessions on tolerances, advising alternativesand responding queries from suppliers

Diploma/ B.E. or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering
8-14years working experience as an electrical or winding design engineer
TechnicalSkills:
Knowledgeof designing helical, layer, multi-start, disc winding with inter shielding andinterleaving etc for Low voltage, High voltage and regulating systems ofmedium and large power transformers and reactors. Knowledge of different typesof winding copper conductors like PICC, BPICC and CTC.
Experienceof designing winding & winding assembly and knowledge of insulation partslike spacers, strips, OGW, moulded components like angle rings, caps, snoutsetc
Knowledgeon special processes related to winding and WAB like conductor bending, jointformation, enamel removal, moisture removal in ovens, winding assemblypressing/sizing, height adjustments, gluing, shield ring design etc
Proficientin 2D CAD tools like AutoCAD.
Proficientin 3D CAD tools like Creo.
Proficientin MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Basicknowledge of dielectrics, axial & radial short circuit forces and oil flowmechanism within the winding & winding assembly.
Experienceof electrostatic field calculation is an added advantage.
KeySkills:
Excellentwritten and verbal communication in English is necessary.
Self-motivatedto produce high quality results within the time allocated, with limitedsupervision
Experiencewith SAP
