Job Description

This position reports to Sr. Technical Systems Architect, IT, and will be responsible for providing Database Administration support to Business Applications and other IT projects. Overall responsibilities include administration of multiple database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL etc database, replication tools, reporting tools and establishing standardized process for overall application maintenance. This position plays a key role in supporting enterprise solutions delivered through Business Application and Infrastructure teams. Ensure documentation of technical procedure and architecture for all Database platforms; Aid incident management team with root cause investigations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Day to day Production support Business Intelligence, data warehouse Analytic systems
Perform Installs, System refreshes, Upgrades, patching and Validation of EA tools, Database systems.
Assist in the development, maintenance, execution, and communication of all processes related to Technology services including platform improvements, preventative maintenance, and capacity planning.
Install support of EA, Business systems like SAP BODS, Collibra, HVR (Fivetran), Qlik Replicate, SAP SLT, SAP BOXI(BOBI), Airflow, cloud instances tomcat web applications.
Implement RBAC for the analytical applications and security aspects. Provide support for Python, Perl libraries and jdbc, odbc drivers.
Establish, monitor, distribute and escalate application system performance and utilization reports.
Working closely with business users, data scientists, and IT professionals is often required.
The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and contribute to collective goals is important.
Facilitate clear communication within groups, others in IT, the Management teams and Project leads.
Raise issues appropriately with management team, providing options to resolve issues. Perform system wide technical reviews and facilitate forward thinking in the team.
Perform quality assurance checks on installations, configuration and provide recommendations.
Design and implement High Availability solutions per IT requirements.
Developing shell scripts and SQL scripts as per the demand.
Strong in programming languages with a technical background
The field of analytics is constantly evolving, so the ability to stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques is important.
Support Development lifecycle projects

Skill/Job Requirements:

8+ years working experience in Information Technology supporting Business Intelligence, Warehouse and Analytics systems.
Proficiency in data analytics tools like airflow and technologies including opensource like docker, k8s and container based micro services. Experience in Postgres, mongo RabbitMQ databases.
Candidate with the mix of technical installation / configuration skills with Development, techno functional experience is a plus.
Develop ETL processes to extract data from diverse sources, transform and load it into data warehouse systems or other systems.
The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions is important.
Apply statistical analysis and data mining techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data sets.
Experience in DevOps methodologies and Integrate with Gitlab/GitHub for CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency using SQL, PL/SQL scripting and power shell scripting.
Administering databases in Azure, AWS cloud platform and experience in security aspects
Experience in IT Regulatory Validation process
Ability to grasp new concepts/ technology quickly and efficiently.
Experience in Development projects, deep understanding of IT Applications and Technology
Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities.
Candidate should be able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices, as we'll as data security and privacy regulations, is important for ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effectively presenting data findings and insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Willingness to learn and adapt to modern technologies and methodologies is crucial
Willing to work flexible hours
A bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field
Specialized certifications are an added advantage.
