IT Administrator with ERP Implementation

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Administration

• Manage and maintain the organizations IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and availability.
• Implement and maintain security protocols, data backup, and disaster recovery procedures to protect company data.
• Configure and manage firewall, VPN, and other network security measures.
• Conduct regular audits and maintenance on IT assets and licenses.
• Provide technical support to staff, ensuring prompt resolution of IT-related issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in line with company policies.
• Install, configure, and update software applications as necessary.

2. ERP Implementation and Support

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and deployment of the organization’s ERP system.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, define processes, and customize ERP solutions to fit business needs.
• Oversee the migration of data to the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Provide training and support to users during and after ERP implementation to ensure a smooth transition and proper usage.
• Monitor ERP system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors or IT teams for advanced support.
• Conduct periodic reviews and updates to the ERP system to optimize functionality and accommodate new business processes.

3. Project Management for ERP and IT Initiatives

• Develop project plans, set timelines, and track progress for ERP implementation and other IT initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and consultants to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Manage budgets related to ERP and IT projects, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and present project reports to management, detailing progress, issues, and proposed solutions.

4. Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Ensure ERP and IT practices adhere to regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain user manuals, training materials, and support documentation for ERP and other IT systems.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Regularly assess the organization’s IT infrastructure and ERP usage for improvement opportunities.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to propose and implement relevant improvements.
• Engage with department heads to understand evolving business needs and align IT and ERP systems to support these changes.

6. Data Analysis

• Collect, clean, and validate data from various sources (internal/external) to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Use statistical tools to interpret data, identify correlations, and predict future outcomes.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly through visualizations and presentations.
• Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting needs across departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in IT administration, network management, or a related role.
• Proven experience in ERP implementation and management (experience with specific ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc., is a plus).
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including servers, routers, firewalls, and VPN.
• Proficiency with IT security measures, data backups, and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, etc) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python or Stata for data manipulation and analysis.
• Familiarity with database management and SQL.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills to train and support users across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with IT compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.
• Familiarity with statistical concepts, data modeling and machine learning.
