Role and the Person

The position is at the senior management level, accordingly the purpose and critical functions would be as follows:

Organisational Purpose:

To sustain the mall as a commercial Public Space

Function Purpose

To provide (timely) actionable information

Role Purpose:

To ensure automatic capture and distribution of information for systematic and efficient performance of the business

The Key Expectations of the Role:

• Analytics based reporting systems including early warning signals
• Costed outputs and processes across the organisation
• Model based financing, operating and investment choices
• Evidence based decision making*

The Competencies required to effectively take on this role:

• Conceptual understanding of all aspects of strategic and operational financial management
• High proficiency in financial analytics and modelling skills
• Working knowledge of accounts and ERP systems
• Working knowledge of purchase procedures
• Cross functional orientation
• Sensitivity to evidence-based-change of hypotheses*

The Person:

• Person with experience in designing and implementing automated or IT enabled MIS and control system would be preferred.
• Masters qualification in Finance or Chartered Accountant. (if the experience of the candidate is strikingly distinctive the education requirement can be relaxed)
• Experience in commercial function (purchase) of mid-size organisations
• Overall work-experience of at least 15 years in middle/senior management positions
