Shriram Properties - Account Analyst (4-6 yrs)

Job Summary:

- The Account Analyst is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting departments by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping.

- This role will assist in managing accounts, identifying trends, and providing insights to improve financial decision-making.

- The Account Analyst will also work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of financial information and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management regarding trends, discrepancies, and financial performance.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to monitor account balances, revenue, expenses, and other key financial metrics.

- Perform variance analysis to identify areas for improvement or potential risks.

Account Reconciliation:

- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in financial statements or transactions.

Reporting & Documentation:

- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

- Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Budgeting & Forecasting Support:

- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support to ensure projections align with actual performance.

Process Improvement:

- Review accounting processes and recommend improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve reporting timelines.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with other departments (e., Sales, Operations, IT) to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve any account-related issues.

- Support internal audits and assist external auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's / master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

- 4-6 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related analytical role.

- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e., GAAP).

Skills:

- Proficiency in accounting software (e., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

Certifications (optional): CPA or other relevant certifications may be a plus
