Vendor Development Specialist

Shish Industries Ltd is seeking a dedicated Vendor Development Specialist to enhance our procurement strategies and build strong supplier relationships.

Role & responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to enhance procurement strategies.
• Conduct vendor assessments focused on quality, reliability, and pricing.
• Negotiate favorable purchase agreements and contract terms.
• Build strong relationships with vendors as the primary contact.
• Prepare and manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance.
• Establish performance metrics to evaluate vendor quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align vendor capabilities.
• Stay informed about industry trends to identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Utilise strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred candidate profile

• A bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field is required.
• Candidates should have 5-8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor development, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential for this role.
• The ability to analyze data and make informed decisions is crucial.
• Proficiency in procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
• The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
