Role Overview :
The Engineering team at Shiprocket is committed to driving innovation and excellence in the e-commerce and logistics space. By focusing on automation, data-driven decision-making, and seamless integrations, the team aims to revolutionize how merchants, customers, and logistics providers interact.

We are seeking a Data Analyst with 2-6 years of experience to support our diverse business units (Finance, Product, Operations, Marketing, etc.) in making data-driven decisions by leveraging insights derived from analyzing large datasets. The ideal candidate should have practical expertise in data mining, analytical methods, data tools, and model development and implementation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze data to generate reports that provide actionable insights. Provide strategic insights to management for planning new AI or data-centric products.
• Analyze metrics, key performance indicators, and other data sources to identify root causes of process inefficiencies or defects.
• Optimize resource utilization and collaborate proactively with internal business teams to expedite project completion.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to articulate and translate business questions into statistical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand, listen, and resolve business challenges.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
• Expertise in scripting languages like Python.
• Strong knowledge of OLTP/OLAP databases, data analytics tools, and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in data mining, statistical modeling, and analysis.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Metabase (preferred) and advanced Excel (a plus).
• Experience or knowledge of AWS services is a significant advantage.
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset is essential.
