Role & responsibilities

To ensure effective planning and execution of procurement objectives for all chemical raw materials in line with the business objectives. This position is responsible for managing the procurement of chemical raw materials required for our organization's manufacturing processes. It involves identifying suitable suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient inventory levels to support production needs.

Preferred candidate profile

Supplier Identification and Management:

• Research and identify potential suppliers of chemicals (PVC chemicals, Solvents, Epoxy Resin, Plasticizers, CaCO3 Fillers & Speciality chemicals)
• Evaluate suppliers' capabilities, pricing, and reliability.
• Maintain and update a supplier database.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
• Create and manage procurement contracts.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms.

Market Research:

• Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and availability of raw materials.
• Provide market insights and recommendations to management.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Planning and procurement of material in line with the Business plan.
• Responsible for purchase of Monthly/Quarterly assigned raw material & packing material taking into consideration supply chain constraints.
• Quote analysis before finalizing order by keeping proper inventory control.
• Able to resolve issues pertaining to quality, delivery, invoices and any other order related issues to facilitate on time order delivery.
• Prepare reports on procurement & payment activities as required.
• Coordinate and follow up with finance for on time payment to suppliers
• Work with vendors/suppliers/Freight forwarder to follow up on delivery dates and shipment document for the same.
• Coordination and follow up with CHA and transporter for timely clearance from port to factory by providing on time documents required for clearance.
• Updating the import shipments in tracking sheet.
• Knowledge shipping documents is must.
