Job Description
We have an urgent opportunity for Production SMT Manager Position with a Japanese, Tokyo-based company into Power electronics industry manufacturing power semiconductor devices, electric power systems, automotive electronics products Based @ Jigani, Bangalore
- Oversees the SMT production to meet output & quality targets
- Manages the technical section to control production jig, functional testers to improve the productivity.
- Optimizes machine programs & production schedules for efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards like (IPC, ISO etc)]
- Plan & manage the SMT machines(pick & place) & inspection testing machines maintenance .
- Implement process improvements to reduce defects and increase efficiency.
- Monitor defect rates and implement corrective actions (5-why, RCA, 8D etc)
- Assign tasks and ensure team members follow safety & operational guidelines.
- Knowledge of SMT assembly processes & equipment.
- Experience with Yamaha pick & place machines, reflow soldering & AOI systems (2D & 3D).
- Ensure availability of production jigs & ensure the functioning of jigs for uninterrupted production.
- Monitor the production machine spares & inventory management
- Budget control of the production consumables & spare parts.
- Responsibility of production capability study
- Manages ECN, change in the process and ensure the workload among the personnel.
- Capacity study, lean manufacturing to improve the productivity
- Leadership & team management skills
- Knowledge of PCB design, IPC standards and electronic manufacturing.
