Set and achieve inspection targets as per the plan
Monitor the blasting process, including air pressure, abrasive contamination, moisture content, and ambient conditions such as humidity, surface temperature, and surface profile by replica tape, salt contamination test, etc.
Monitor the painting process using both destructive and non-destructive tests, such as DFT, crosscut, pull-off adhesion test, pinhole detection, etc.
Ensure proper handling of materials and reduction of rework
Coordinate with other departments for various painting in production department-related activities
Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures at all levels
Prepare documentation
Implement IMS and KAIZEN at the workplace
Meet quality requirements of customers and ensure reduction of cost
Interact with coating vendors for technical queries
Manage industrial relations to ensure a harmonious work environment
Maintain shop floor discipline and ensure adherence to safe working practices
Document and record ongoing blasting/painting parameters in the inspection report.
Requirements:
4 to 6 years of relevant experience
In-depth knowledge of surface preparation, blasting, and painting processes
Knowledge of various coating materials and their application processes
Experience in implementing IMS and KAIZEN at the workplace
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Should have Process Equipment background
