JOB DESCRIPTION: HEAD ELC & CAMBRIDGE COORDINATOR
The Head ELC shall be responsible for running all the affairs of the international playschool including
implementation of international curriculum (Montessori / Finland), admissions, interaction with parents and
other stakeholders, promotion of school brand, budgeting, staff recruitment & training and administration of the
playschool. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills along with a warm and nurturing
disposition. Detail job description is as under: -
Job Description Head ELC:
1. Plan, organize, manage and supervise international curriculum (Montessori/ Finland) for the playschool.
Build frameworks for smooth implementation of the curriculum.
2. Modify the curriculum to meet the needs of students and remain current with developments in the field.
3. Oversee the staff in administering, planning and evaluating academic/ co-curricular activities that
promote curriculum-focused learning.
4. Develop long term plans to facilitate the growth of the playschool including planning and
implementation of robust marketing plan, brand-building and promotion activities including usage of
social media platforms.
5. Work positively to establish a strong school-parent connect mechanism and ensure active parent
participation to promote an atmosphere of collaboration amongst all stakeholders.
6. Develop policies wrt admissions, attendance, educational goals and establish all other necessary policies/
SOPs/ rules pertaining to the operation of the playschool.
7. Provide day-to-day leadership and work with staff to ensure high performance and promote a positive
employee-relations environment.
8. Train and supervise the Staff and plan, organize, coordinate professional development training including
team building.
9. Regularly monitor staff performance and provide guidance/ mentoring for performance improvement
and conduct Staff performance evaluations.
10. Supervise recruitment and hiring as per requirement and budget.
11. Plan and manage all aspects of student admissions.
12. Maintain complete records pertaining to the administration and operation of the school.
13. Collaborate with management to prepare annual budget for playschool.
14. Responsible for operation of the playschool as per the approved budget including fees collection,
purchase of equipment and supplies, vendor/contractor management, and handling of authorized
financial transactions as per established financial policies and procedures.
15. Responsible for handling day-to-day administration of the playschool including planning of all schedules,
assignment of Staff responsibilities, staff conduct, overall discipline and grievance handling.
16. Responsible for optimal utilization of office/classroom space and resources.
17. Responsible for all statuary compliances/ licensing requirements, as applicable
18. Serve as the primary point of contact with all governmental / regulatory bodies in connection with the
playschool.
19. Plan and implement health and safety programs including health precautions, emergency procedures
and safety & security of School premises from all hazards
Job Description - Cambridge Coordinator:
1. Manage and develop the Cambridge curriculum
2. Promote high standards in all aspects of school life, particularly in student progress
3. Actively support the values, vision, ethos, culture and policies of the school
4. Inspire and motivate students, teachers and other school employees
5. Assess professional needs and lead professional development sessions for teachers
6. Overseeing curriculum review and facilitating curriculum development across the whole school
7. Contribute to a school culture which is positive, purposeful and professional
8. Are committed to safeguarding and to promoting the welfare of children
9. Build strong relationships with parents and assist in the coordination and delivery of parent curriculum
meetings and/or workshops as appropriate
10. Lead on staff workshop, training and curriculum-orientate
11. Liaise with colleagues across school to ensure smooth transition of pupils between year groups/phases
with regards to curriculum provision
