Summary:
The Fabric Sourcing General Manager – MnB & MnD will define and manage an efficient process to source, negotiate, present, treat, and order fabrics specified by clients MnB & MnD Business. This role ensures strategic positioning and should bring best cost consistently, sharp accumen for negotiation.
This position will be reporting to Sr. Vice President.
Key Responsibilities:

• Understand the buyer requirement and responsible for procurement of Raw Material, Fabric, Accessories and Packing Materials based on procurement through strategic planning.
• Responsible for implementing and monitoring effective procurement schedules along with finalizing the cost, specifications of the materials and establishing the quality & quantity limits for effective inventory control.
• Budgeting, monitoring & control of product costs through efficient negotiation which resultant in better GM and collaborate with across brands to find out the cost leveraging opportunities.
• Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies, discovering profitable suppliers and initiate procurement partnerships, negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms and Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.
• Examine and test existing contracts approve Color/design as per buyer.
• Advice buyers regarding advantages and limitations of the fabric. Highlight the anticipatory problems in fabrics well in advance before booking.
• Initiate new developments like prints, library and research and development. Regular visits to new vendors in country and overseas for accreditation and to bridge relation between vendors and our company.
• Vendor Payment, finalsation of the vendor, vendor evaluation, price negotiation and reassure

the commitment as per buyer requirement, in case of nominated vendors place orders as per requirements.

• Analyze the type of print, selection of dye stuffs, accordingly advice mill based on Buyers test parameters required in the garment performance.
• Invite Mills with their new fabric ranges to give presentation to designers/merchants.
• Building a high performing fabric sourcing team that delivers excellent end-to-end performance as measured by internal and external customers.
• Structure Analytics & reports and provide the same to the concerned department

Job Specification:

• B.Tech, Diploma in Textile Technology with 15-20 + yrs. of experience.
• Min. 15 yrs. in-depth exposure in handling fabric sourcing
• Geographically diverse apparel manufacturing operations experience will be a definite advantage.
