Job Title: Buyer - Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Buyer to join our Supply Chain Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement processes, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment in alignment with production requirements. The role requires a proactive approach to handling critical suppliers, resolving delivery challenges, and maintaining compliance with procurement timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create Purchase Orders (PO) based on Material Requirement Planning (MRP) signals.
• Negotiate delivery expedites with critical suppliers to meet business needs.
• Develop and implement customized strategies to address delivery challenges and optimize supplier performance.
• Ensure timely order confirmation compliance from suppliers within agreed-upon timelines.
• Maintain POs by expediting, deferring, or canceling deliveries as per MRP signals.
• Track shipments in collaboration with freight forwarders and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Liaise with suppliers in case of delivery discrepancies or delays.
• Discuss process improvements, risks, and new learnings in a timely manner.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts and identify training needs.
• Support quality checks and provide constructive feedback on issues detected.
• Assist during crises, including volume spikes or process changes, ensuring continuity of supply.
• Generate reports for analytics and Management Information Systems (MIS) tracking.
• Stay updated on process changes and improvements.
• Provide ongoing buying support to other team members, ensuring seamless operations.

Qualifications:

• A bachelors degree in any discipline or a relevant business degree.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Buyer, with hands-on experience in end-to-end Supply Chain Management.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in the buying domain.
• Strong team player, capable of managing extreme workloads and tight deadlines.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Analytical mindset with a good flair for data interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service orientation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate assertively across all levels.
• Innovative thinking, with a mindset focused on exploring opportunities and proposing improvements within the procurement and supply chain processes.
