The Senior Engineer, Site Reliability is directly responsible for the Development, Monitoring, Operation and Support of the global SES Cloud and on premise install base, with a strong focus on Systems. They act as the main backup of the Senior Manager IT Systems and in support of the IT Operations team when the situation requires.
The Engineer will work in close collaboration with the Service Desk, Cloud Center of Excellence, Security, Systems, Service Assurance and Network engineering teams and will assume ownership of improvement projects (ServiceNow, DevOps, Automation, Troubleshooting, Scripting, Tooling, Documentation) and drive them to completion in a timely fashion. The Engineer will also participate on daily organization of the work (shift building, on-call schedule, KPI reporting).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Develop and deploy solutions using industry best practices / innovation as well as SES IT defined architecture standards and guidelines
Deploy and configure cloud services utilizing Cloud Center of Excellence methodology
Provide support to internal customers for clarification of technical matters and the resolution of technical issues
Be an active leading player in innovation programs and concepts
Drive improvement and adherence to all IT service management processes, including incident management, change management, request fulfilment, problem management
Lead improvement initiatives encompassing automation, troubleshooting workflows, scripting, tooling, and documentation
Collaborate with all the Engineering teams to help continuous improvement in the SES IT landscape
Create knowledge base articles/Wikis for common issues and standard operating procedures for day2day operations
Mentor team members and contribute to the development of services
Learn new technologies and keep up-to-date with state-of-the-art IT concepts and Cloud technologies
Provide support and drive strong focus on simplification and standardization
Provide inputs to Department heads for administrative and management tasks
Fulfil on-call duties on a rotational 24/7 basis

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, Cloud Technologies, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of applicable professional experience in a large heterogeneous environment
Solid expertise with designing and implementing Cloud infrastructures through Terraform and monitoring tools (Azure Monitoring, Centreon, Grafana)
Solid expertise in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, IaC (e.g., Terraform) for Microsoft Azure and potentially other cloud providers
Solid experience with designing and implementing hybrid infrastructures, monitoring tools (Azure Monitoring, Centreon, Grafana), and hypervisor solutions (VMware, Nutanix and Proxmox)
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, EntraID, Active Directory, CI/CD automation, continuous monitoring, Kubernetes infrastructure and information security
Good knowledge of Information Security, DHCP and DNS management using Infoblox or equivalent
Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset
Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or AWS Architect Certified Solutions Architect is highly desired
