Cloud Application Developer - Microservices Architecture (10-12 yrs)

Roles & Responsibilities :

As an Application Architect, you will play a critical role in transforming business requirements into technical solutions and addressing complex challenges. Leveraging your expertise in microservices-based platforms, you will serve as a key technical leader, acting as the liaison among business partners, technical teams, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Microservices Developer Specialist : Design and develop technical solutions for cloud and application modernization initiatives. Utilize your hands-on experience in containerizing applications with OpenShift or Kubernetes.

- Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance on containerization, modernization architecture, and technology solutions. Support the migration and modernization of application workloads to cloud environments.

- Solution Design & Innovation : Engage in technical design, focusing on containerization, API and microservices development, and modernization strategies. Drive innovation across design and delivery phases through agile methodologies, DevSecOps, and continuous integration, testing, and delivery.

- Agile and DevOps : Lead sprint planning, estimation, and manage risks and dependencies, while collaborating on technical elements and deliverables. Ensure full-stack security design is incorporated throughout the process.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise :

- 7+ years (5+ years for junior positions) of experience in developing cloud-native applications with a microservices architecture.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or RedHat OpenShift.

- Proficiency in application containerization with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE).

- Knowledge in legacy application modernization, code refactoring, and transitioning to microservices and APIs.

- Expertise in building microservices, APIs, and transitioning workloads to OpenShift from legacy codebases.

- Hands-on experience with enterprise development tools (Java, Node.js, .NET), as well as front-end frameworks (Angular or React).

- Proficiency in working with databases (RDBMS or NoSQL).

- Experience leading agile development teams as a Team Lead or Senior Developer.

- Hands-on experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and systems reliability engineering.

- Experience with BPM/workflow or step function platforms is advantageous.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience :

- Familiarity with Java Spring Boot.

- Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).

- Proven experience leading large agile teams with cross-team coordination.

- Relevant certifications on AWS, Red Hat OpenShift, or Azure.

- Additional experience with IBM BAW/IBM BPM is a plus.
