Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with 7 years of expertise in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ITSM, ServiceNow integrations, custom application development, advanced reporting, and scripting within the ServiceNow platform. The role will require in-depth knowledge of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, Service Operation Workspace, Performance Analytics, and Hardware Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities :
1. ITSM Implementation & Configuration :
Design, configure, and implement ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management. Ensure ServiceNow processes align with industry best practices and meet organizational needs.
2. ServiceNow Scripting :
Write and optimize client-side and server-side scripts to customize and extend the functionality of ServiceNow. This includes using JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Scripts, Glide Record, and other scripting elements to create custom solutions and automate processes.
3. ServiceNow Integrations :
Develop, configure, and maintain integrations with third-party systems (e.g., LDAP, SCCM, Active Directory, and other external systems) using ServiceNow's Integration Hub and other integration tools. Ensure seamless data flow between ServiceNow and external platforms.
4. Custom/Scope Application Development & Workflows :
Design and implement custom applications on the ServiceNow platform with complex workflows. Use the ServiceNow Studio for custom application development, including defining application scope, developing scripts, and configuring forms and views.
5. Service Operation Workspace :
Develop and maintain Service Operation Workspace for monitoring and managing IT operations. Design user-friendly dashboards and ensure effective incident and problem resolution within the workspace.
6. Performance Analytics & Advanced Reporting :
Design and implement advanced reports, dashboards, and performance metrics using Performance Analytics (PA) to monitor and optimize ServiceNow performance. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver actionable insights.
7. Hardware Asset Management (HAM) :
Configure and maintain the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module, ensuring the full lifecycle of hardware assets, from procurement to disposal, is tracked and optimized. Integrate HAM with other ITSM processes and external systems where necessary.
8. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :
Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Gather requirements, design solutions, and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
9. Support & Maintenance :
Provide ongoing support and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, addressing incidents, change requests, and ensuring system availability.
Key Skills & Qualifications :
- 7 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and implementation, including ITSM and custom applications.
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management).
- Extensive experience in ServiceNow integrations, including use of Integration Hub, REST, SOAP, and other integration tools.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow Custom / Scope application development, including scripting, complex workflows, and custom solutions.
- Advanced ServiceNow Scripting skills, including JavaScript, Glide scripting, Glide Record, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions, and other ServiceNow scripting methods to automate and customize functionality.
- Deep expertise in Service Operation Workspace for monitoring IT services and performance.
- Experience with Performance Analytics to design reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Experience with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module in ServiceNow and its lifecycle management.
- Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, ServiceNow Glide scripting, and web services.
- Experience in ServiceNow version upgrades and maintaining configurations across versions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams.
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified ServiceNow System Administrator or Certified Application Developer are a plus.
