Technical Skills

1. Equipment installation is the ability to install equipment in a location and ensure it works properly.

2. This skill can be necessary for field service engineers, as they may need to install new equipment or repair existing equipment at customer sites.

3. Equipment installation requires knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems and other aspects of machinery.

4. Preventative maintenance is the process of identifying and repairing potential issues before they become larger problems.

5. Preventative maintenance skills are important for field service engineers because its your job to ensure that equipment continues to function properly.

6. You may also be responsible for performing regular inspections on machinery or other assets owned by a company.

7. As a service engineer, its important to know how to follow safety protocols in the workplace and on-site when working with electrical equipment.

8. Technical support is the ability to answer questions about a product or service. 9. As a field service engineer, you may need to provide technical support for products that your company sells.

10. This can include explaining how a product works and troubleshooting issues with it. 11. Its important to be able to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand way so customers feel comfortable asking questions
