Overview

As a Service Desk Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting end users by resolving application problems, managing system administration tasks, and addressing network-related issues. This role requires working collaboratively with a dynamic team committed to delivering excellent IT service management. Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for diagnosing, prioritizing, and resolving IT incidents reported via multiple channels.
  • Provide in-house training for end users on MS Office applications and other tools.
  • Configure, image, and deploy new systems for users.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 and Level 3 support teams as necessary.
  • Maintain meticulous logs of all support requests in the incident management tool.
  • Publish and update support documentation to assist staff in navigating requests and troubleshooting common issues.
  • Manage the hardware and software asset lifecycle.
  • Handle security incidents and malware issues as the first point of contact.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support system upgrades and new deployments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Service Desk Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong technical expertise in Windows, MAC, and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory for managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 environment with rotating shifts.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+) are highly desirable.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
