Junior Software Development Engineer in Test

We are looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 1-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. As an SDET, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by designing and developing automated testing frameworks, tools, and scripts. Key Responsibilities

• In this role, as part of Serralas Global Product Organization, you will be a member of an international agile team of software engineers dedicated to the advancement of Serrala’s key cloud ERP products.
• You will be learning on the job and working with skilled team members who are well versed in Cloud Software development, MEAN technology stack (Mongo, Express, Angular & Node) and Cypress based Test Automation.
• You will be involved in and responsible for software design, development, testing, documentation & delivery of our Cloud ERP products.
• You are responsible for understanding the quality aspects of software engineering, implementing and upholding the same with the using best engineering practices in Quality & Delivery.
• You are responsible for raising, tracking, and re-testing defects using Automation frameworks until resolution within & outside the scope of sprint and maintain it in any Test Management tool; and continuously reduce the need of manual testing.
• You are responsible for the whole software testing lifecycle (analyzing the business requirements, support in preparing the test plans, creating the test cases, monitoring bugs, checking bug fixes).
• You are responsible for understanding the Agile practices and participating in Agile team activities as an equal member of the team.
• You will learn the infrastructure of the product on Cloud landscape and imbibe DevOps thinking early in your career.
• You will maintain professional conduct and collaborate actively with team members by efficiently using collaboration tools like Teams, Jira, Confluence, Miro, etc.

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Hands-on coding experience with exposure to concepts of design, development, and deployment of software products.
• Excellent programming skills in at least one of the industry’s leading programing languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, C# etc.
• Excellent understanding in Cloud computing, Cloud platforms and related aspects.
• Penchant for good usage of data structures and affinity to keep a low complexity.
• Good understanding of Database concepts in RDBMS as well as NoSQL databases.
• Ability to understand and explain software container and container management technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Awareness of the latest CI/CD concepts or tools like Jenkins, GitHub, MS DevOps, or Bitbucket.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to express technical terms in simple English terms for cross-team members.
• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications 

• Strong skillset in at least one programming knowledge.
• Strong skillset in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and classic web-development.
• Strong in analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
