Senior Engineer QA Manual

About the Role:
Serosoft Solutions is looking for a skilled Senior QA Engineer (Manual) to ensure the delivery of top-notch software solutions by driving quality assurance processes and identifying improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Planning: Analyse requirements to create robust test strategies, plans,
  and well-documented test cases.
• Quality Assurance: Perform functional, smoke, integration, regression, and API testing to ensure 100% quality deliverables.
• Testing Techniques: Leverage risk-based testing techniques and ensure business requirements are mapped to test cases with sufficient coverage.
• Defect Management: Identify, replicate, and report defects; coordinate with the development team for defect triage and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaboration: Liaise with development teams and key stakeholders during Agile/Scrum cycles to develop targeted test plans and participate in Scrum review meetings.
• Process Improvement: Help define and implement improvements in QA processes, tools, and methodologies for increased efficiency.
• End-User Perspective: Provide feedback and suggest enhancements for improved product testability and user experience.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in BE Tech, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years in manual testing with a focus on responsive web and mobile app testing.
• education technology sector or SaaS-based companies.

Skills & Competencies:

• Testing Tools: Proficiency with tools like JIRA for defect tracking and root cause analysis.
• API Testing: At least 3 years of experience using tools such as Postman/JMeter.
• Agile Expertise: 2+ years of working in Agile/Scrum methodology.
• BDD Knowledge: Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and writing BDD-based test scenarios.
• Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of database concepts and querying.
• Communication: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a problem- solving attitude and end-user mindset.
• Documentation: Hands-on experience in preparing detailed test cases, plans, and bug reports
