Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Executive to join our Finance team. The candidate will be responsible for managing GST, TDS, day-to-day accounting activities, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance:
• Handle all aspects of GST compliance, including filing returns, GST reconciliation, and ensuring timely payment of GST liabilities.
• Review and validate GST input and output tax for accuracy.
• Address GST queries and issues, liaising with tax authorities as required.
• TDS Compliance:
• Manage TDS calculations, deductions, and timely deposit of TDS payments.
• Ensure accurate filing of TDS returns and issuance of TDS certificates to vendors.
• Reconcile TDS entries and resolve discrepancies.
• Day-to-Day Accounting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
• Process journal entries and manage the general ledger.
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions.
• Accounts Payable (AP):
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor management.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
• Accounts Receivable (AR):
• Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collection.
• Reconciliations:
• Perform regular bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and customer reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between financial records and actual transactions.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Audit and Compliance:
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for increased efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

• CA Inter/ICWA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a strong focus on GST, TDS, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Solid understanding of Indian taxation laws, GST, and TDS regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
