Android Application Developer (Kolkata)

SentientGeeks is looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications

Responsibilities:

• Developing Android apps for our products:
• Work on a full product development lifecycle from requirement gathering, product design, development, to roll out and maintenance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
• Strong knowledge of OOPS design concepts patterns.
• Experience in creating Activities / Services / inter-process communication in Android.
• Good understanding of multi-threading concept hands on experience in UI layout and components creation.
• Own the delivery of multiple features of the product end to end while hands-on in development as well.
• Advocate best development practices such as continuous integration/continous delivery, automation (testing and infrastructure) and code modularity, extensibility, quality.
• Experience in building Apps from Scratch is a big plus.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Write clean, solid and testable code while keeping the user experience fast and reliable.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and Object-Oriented Programming Languages.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, J2EE.
• Knowing Kotlin and SQL Lite is a must.
• Excellent skills in Android Developer using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android NDK.
• Experience in design patterns mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM/MVC/MVP.
• Familiarity with Restful APIs to effectively integrate Android applications.
• Proficient in understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with various testing tools.
• Added Advantages: Hybrid Framework such as Flutter, React Native.
• Creative, self-motivated, dedicated, good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluent in English Communication.

Preference:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Android Development.
• Good verbal communication skills to connect with clients.
• Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision.
• Good Team player and is capable to handle deliveries under quick timelines.
