Senior R&D Engineer

Qualifications:

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Expectations:

You have knowledge and experience across some of following key areas.

Software Development:

Design and develop high-quality software using Java, including proficiency in Java 17+ features and frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).

Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

Experience with Frontend development, Javascript, React.

Experience writing automated tests (e.g. unit or integration tests), including automation frameworks (Cucumber, Robot, Selenium)

Define and manage JSON schemas for data interchange.

Practical knowledge of Git, Gerrit, Jenkins.

Experience in Golang.

Additional Skills:

Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Experience in using project management software such as Jira.

Scripting and Automation:

Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks and process improvements.

Write scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance productivity.

Platform Development and Maintenance:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes and Helm.Experience with container orchestration, scaling, and management.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

Cloud-Native Development:

Ability to develop applications specifically for cloud environments.Proficiency in microservices architecture and containerization.Utilize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, OCP) for application hosting and scalability.

Database Management:

Strong skills in administering MariaDB and Oracle databases.Ensure data integrity, performance tuning, and regular backups.

Knowledge of SQL and query optimization.

Kafka:

Experience with Apache Kafka for building real-time data pipelines and streaming applications.Understanding of Kafka architecture, producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams.

Deployment:

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and practices.Knowledge of automated deployment strategies and rollback mechanisms.

Document processes, configurations, and infrastructure changes.

Troubleshooting:

Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve infrastructure and application issues.Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
