Senior Nurse - Emergency

An Emergency Nurse provides immediate and critical care to patients who present with urgent, life-threatening medical conditions in an emergency department (ED). This role requires quick decision-making, clinical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Emergency Nurses are responsible for assessing, stabilizing, and treating patients in emergency situations, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the highest quality of care.

• Perform thorough assessments of patients presenting with injuries or medical conditions, including taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, and prioritizing care based on acuity (triage).
• Administer life-saving interventions such as CPR, wound care, intravenous (IV) therapy, medications, and other treatments as required.
• Continuously monitor vital signs, manage patient pain, and document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in electronic health records in real time.
• Work closely with doctors, surgeons, paramedics, and other healthcare staff to develop treatment plans and ensure appropriate care delivery.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, discharge instructions, follow-up care, and emergency procedures.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment such as defibrillators, cardiac monitors, and ventilators, ensuring all devices are functioning properly.
• Respond to critical situations, including trauma, cardiac events, strokes, and respiratory emergencies, and provide appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
• Follow hospital or clinic policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
