Senior Nurse - OT

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Nurse for our Operating Theatre department at Manipal Hospitals. The Senior Nurse - OT will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff in the Operating Theatre, ensuring high-quality patient care and smooth functioning of the department.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership and direction to the operating room nursing team
2. Oversee the daily operations of the operating room, including staff scheduling and patient flow
3. Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures related to patient care and safety
4. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of patient care
5. Monitor and manage the inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
6. Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the operating room
7. Mentor and train junior nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed
8. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards
9. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care for all patients
10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in operating room nursing, and incorporate new knowledge into daily practice.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Operating Theatre setting
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
