Bata - Senior Manager - Legal (3-6 yrs)

- The Senior Manager - Legal will lead and manage all legal functions related to the Retail, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Franchise I&D businesses across multiple regions.

- This role requires a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in handling litigation, labor law, and employee relations, particularly within a multi-unit operational environment.

- The successful candidate will act as the primary legal advisor, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and minimizing legal risks while supporting business objectives.

- This role involves overseeing the work of two direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Oversight:

- Provide comprehensive legal counsel and support to the Retail, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Franchise I&D businesses across all regions.

- Act as the primary point of contact for all legal matters, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with local, state, and national regulations.

- Proactively identify and assess potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

- Stay abreast of changes in legislation and regulations relevant to the business and ensure timely implementation of necessary changes.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, government agencies, and industry bodies.

- Manage legal budgets and resources effectively.

- Litigation Management - Legacy Cases - PAN India:

- Oversee and manage all litigation matters across India, including disputes, claims, and settlements.

- Develop and execute litigation strategies to protect the company's interests and minimize financial exposure.

- Manage external legal counsel and monitor litigation costs.

- Provide strategic legal advice in the context of ongoing and potential litigation, minimizing risks to the business.
