Job Title: In-House Counsel
Location: Ahmedabad
Job Overview:
As an In-House Counsel, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the legal affairs of the company. You will provide strategic legal guidance to the business, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and mitigating risks across all areas of business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Advice and Guidance:
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to senior management, executives, and other departments on a variety of legal matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, energy law, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, including Service Agreements, EPC Contracts, PPA, SSHA, NDA, MoU, PoA.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, advising the company on any potential impacts or necessary actions.
- Oversee internal policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with applicable laws.
Corporate Governance:
- Support in maintaining corporate governance best practices, ensuring that the company operates in accordance with its corporate structure and legal requirements.
- Assist in managing board meetings, shareholder meetings, and other governance-related activities.
Dispute Resolution and Litigation Management:
- Manage and oversee any legal disputes or litigation involving the company, coordinating with external counsel when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: LLB Degree from a recognised Law College/University along with the qualified CS shall be preferred.
- Experience: 3-7 years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, employment law, and other relevant legal areas.
- Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
- Proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Additional Information:
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
- Compensation: Based on the market standards.
