Role Description:

- This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Manager at Locobuzz in Mumbai.

- The Legal Manager will be responsible for tasks such as legal document preparation, legal consulting, ensuring legal compliance, and managing legal affairs within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

- Legal Advisory: Provide proactive legal advice to business units and senior leadership on various legal issues including regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, IP protection, labor laws, and commercial transactions.

- Dispute Resolution: Lead and manage dispute resolution processes, including handling litigation, arbitration, and negotiations with external parties.

- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Stay up-to-date with changes in law that may affect business operations.

- Corporate Governance: Support corporate governance initiatives, including preparing board meeting agendas, minutes, and resolutions.

- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks, ensuring the protection of the companys interests in all business activities.

- Legal Documentation: Manage and maintain an organized database of legal documents, contracts, and other legal records.

- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including finance, HR, and operations, to ensure legal aspects are considered in all business processes and decisions.

Qualifications:

- Education: A law degree (LLB or equivalent) is required.

- Additional qualifications or certifications in relevant areas of law are a plus.

- Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of legal experience, with a focus on SAAS, technology, or IT-related legal matters.

- Prior in-house counsel experience is preferred.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of SAAS industry regulations, data privacy laws (e., GDPR), and intellectual property rights.

- Contract Expertise: Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts and agreements.

- Litigation Skills: Experience in managing legal disputes, litigation, and working with external legal counsel.

- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide practical legal advice.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound legal judgments.

- Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
