Job Description
- Underwriting Expertise:
- Assess risks, analyze policy terms, and underwrite liability insurance products for corporate clients, including General Liability, Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers (D&O), Cyber Liability, etc.
- Review and negotiate terms with insurers to secure the best outcomes for clients.
- Client Interaction:
- Collaborate with the sales and client servicing teams to understand client requirements and provide customized liability insurance solutions.
- Offer guidance and recommendations to clients on risk management strategies.
- Policy Administration:
- Evaluate claims history, financials, and other critical factors to ensure accurate underwriting decisions.
- Draft, review, and ensure timely issuance of policy documents.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros) for risk assessment, pricing models, and portfolio management.
- Generate periodic reports on underwriting performance and risk analysis.
- Market Research:
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive products to refine underwriting strategies.
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in liability insurance underwriting for corporate clients.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (Insurance certifications preferred, e.g., ACII, FIII).
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of liability insurance products and corporate risk assessment.
- Excel Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and automation.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for clients.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and analysis.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

One who is fresher in insurance field gets good exposure in the company as they deal with all kinds of insurances.
Its not at all an employee centric company. Just wastes money on higher management's foreign trips whereas upper and middle management doesn't even get appropriate appraisal. Company's makes over optimum utilization of its resources. Just focuses on cost cutting.
