Senior Manager- Liability Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Liability Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in liability insurance for corporate clients, coupled with excellent Excel skills for analytics, reporting, and decision-making support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Underwriting Expertise:

• Assess risks, analyze policy terms, and underwrite liability insurance products for corporate clients, including General Liability, Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers (D&O), Cyber Liability, etc.
• Review and negotiate terms with insurers to secure the best outcomes for clients.

1. Client Interaction:

• Collaborate with the sales and client servicing teams to understand client requirements and provide customized liability insurance solutions.
• Offer guidance and recommendations to clients on risk management strategies.

1. Policy Administration:

• Evaluate claims history, financials, and other critical factors to ensure accurate underwriting decisions.
• Draft, review, and ensure timely issuance of policy documents.

1. Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros) for risk assessment, pricing models, and portfolio management.
• Generate periodic reports on underwriting performance and risk analysis.

1. Market Research:

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive products to refine underwriting strategies.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in liability insurance underwriting for corporate clients.
• Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (Insurance certifications preferred, e.g., ACII, FIII).
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of liability insurance products and corporate risk assessment.
• Excel Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and automation.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for clients.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and analysis.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
