About the Role:

Graviss Foods Pvt Ltd (Baskin Robbins, India) is looking for a Senior R&D Executive (Plant Level) to drive new product development, recipe formulation, and process optimization in the ice cream, bakery, and chocolate industries. This role requires a self-driven, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and clarity of thought to ensure the development of high-quality, innovative products. Reporting to the R&D Head, you will work at the plant level, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring market-leading products to life.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development & Recipe Formulation

• Lead the ideation, formulation, and testing of new ice cream, bakery, and chocolate products.
• Conduct market research to analyze trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings.
• Develop and optimize recipes with a focus on taste, texture, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and conduct trials.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Establish and maintain strict quality standards to ensure product consistency.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and stability tests to meet industry benchmarks.
• Ensure full compliance with FSSAI, FDA, HACCP, and GMP food safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all R&D trials, formulations, and quality assessments.

Process Optimization & Manufacturing Support

• Scale up R&D formulations for mass production while preserving product integrity.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot and optimize formulation challenges.

Innovation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Stay updated on emerging industry trends, ingredients, and technologies.
• Partner with marketing, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless product launches.
• Experiment with new flavors, functional ingredients, and process innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (Masters preferred).

Experience:

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in R&D and product development within the ice cream, bakery, or chocolate industry.
• Strong expertise in food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and sensory evaluation techniques.
• Deep understanding of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in using pilot plant equipment and managing manufacturing scale-up processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively.
