Senior Engineer - Sourcing & Procurement (HVAC/Thermal System)

This Role is responsible for Sourcing & Development of new parts with suppliers in order to meet the QCD targets.

Relevant Experience –

1. Experience working with Automotive Industry.

2. Having Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial settlement, commodity & proficiency in manufacturing process, technology, supplier base domestic- international, APQP, PPAP, Tooling development.

3. Hands on experience in Sourcing & Development of Thermal System (HVAC/Condenser/E-Compressor.AC lines), Seals, Plastic & Rubber commodity for 3W/4W.

1. Analyse the SOR/RFQ received from engineering for manufacturability feasibility study.

2. Release the SOR / RFQ to potential suppliers for Techno commercial proposal.

3. Conduct Technical Review sign off along with Engineering & supplier.

4. Identify Fixture Tooling Gauges, process poka-yoke requirements

5. Get detailed cost break up for part & investment. Negotiate & settle commercials.

6. Process approvals to get Vendor On Board (VOB).

7. Support for proto level part availability for vehicle build.

8. Release Tooling kick off to supplier.

9. Get Fitment Trial Report on T1/proto level parts

10. Prepare Advanced Part Quality Plan(APQP) for every part to meet the timelines of vehicle build plan in partnership with supplier.

11. Design validation plan sign off mentioning test start / end date as per Engineering agreed specification.

12. Prepare part manufacturing planning at supplier end by creating process Flow Diagram, Floor Plan Layout, PFMEA, RPN reduction plan, tooling & Packaging specification, Tooling & Gauges review.

13. Prepare Quality planning by creating Control Plan, MSA of Gauges, SPC.

14. Plan PTR & Run @ Rate along with PPAP document review & PSW sign off.

15. Identify VAVE ideas to get commercial advantage & adding value on product.
