Senior Accountant - Australian Accountancy

Role: Senior Accountant

Work Location: Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Coimbatore
Work Mode: Work from Office

Skills, attributes and competencies required:

• Member or near-member of ICAA or CPA (or international equivalent)/ Qualified or semi qualified CA (with strong relevant experience)
• Must have Australian accounting experience
• Compliance background with 5+ years of experience
• Knowledge/ Experience with Australian taxation and accounting
• A broad knowledge of accounting and general financial management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Advanced numeracy skills

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and superannuation funds, applying knowledge of relevant taxation legislation to each clients unique set of financial circumstances ready for Manager and Director review
• Preparation of client financial accounts for all types of entities, including sole traders, partnerships, companies, trusts and superannuation funds from trial balance ready for Manager and Director review
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Business Activity Statements as required, ready for Manager and Director review
• Supervise other staff during an assignment
• Preparation of Fringe Benefit Tax returns, ready for Manager and Director review
• Provide assistance to clients with the processing of their management accounting information using various accounting software, including Xero, MYOB and other industry/client specific programs
• Liaise and communicate effectively with clients to obtain all information necessary to complete the set task, in a timely and efficient manner
• Complete all assigned tasks within a clearly defined time frame
• Ensure Manager and Director review points are addressed
• Ensure that Australian Taxation Office deadlines are met
• Contribute to organized training sessions and present on negotiated topics as required
• Raise client bills and monitor work in progress
• Conduct assignment reviews for peers and junior staff

• Knowledge of and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, and Australian Income Tax and other relevant legislation.
• Ability to meet client deadlines and expectations
• Participation in internal activities
