Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Network Engineer to join our Cloud department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Cloud Network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, security, and best practices to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure and services.
• Thorough understanding of Google infrastructure and networking
• Thorough understanding of GKE, design, operations and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with GKE.
• Collaborate on cloud security measures, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
• Automate cloud operations using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and incidents.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP features, services, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other IT team members.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.
• Network Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy virtual networks, subnets, and routing policies in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of networking in cloud infrastructure, ensuring redundancy, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Network Security: Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, Network Access Control (NAC), and security groups to ensure secure cloud access and communication.
• Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance using cloud-native and third-party tools, identify issues, and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime and optimize network performance.
• Automation & Scripting: Automate network infrastructure deployment and management using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Load Balancing & Traffic Management: Design and manage load balancing, DNS routing, and traffic management to ensure scalable and resilient cloud services.
• Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, development, and security teams to design and implement cloud networking solutions that align with business objectives.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a focus on cloud environments like (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience on any one public cloud.
• Having an experience on Google Cloud is preferable
• Cloud Network Expertise: Strong experience with cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, VPNs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, and network peering.
• Network Protocols: In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, IPsec, etc.).
• Automation & IaC: Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automating cloud networking tasks.
• Load Balancing: Proficient in configuring and managing cloud-native load balancers (AWS ELB/ALB, Azure Load Balancer, GCP Load Balancing).
• Network Security: Expertise in implementing network security best practices (firewalls, VPNs, NAC, etc.) in a cloud environment.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Experience with network performance monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization using cloud-native or third-party tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform and Networking.
• 5+ years of experience working with GKE
• Strong knowledge of GKE and integration with development teams
• Strong knowledge of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Ability to use GitOps principles for all code-based infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
• Understanding cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and IAC practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Technical Qualifications:

• Proficiency in managing and optimizing GCP networking components, such as VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, and Cloud CDN.
• Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures using GCP services like Cloud Run and Cloud Pub/Sub.
• Certification and hands-on experience with the monitoring and logging tool Datadog
• Understanding DevOps, and DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Google Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning in a cloud environment.
• Expertise in Palo Alto Networks: In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, GlobalProtect VPNs, and security rule optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification.
