About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced SAP QM Consultant with a strong background in Quality Management (QM), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Calibration processes within the pharmaceutical industry (or a related field). The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation and enhancements of SAP solutions in large-scale, global projects.
This is a critical position, and we are looking for someone who can quickly integrate into the team and lead design, configuration, and testing efforts related to SAP Quality Management and Calibration processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the implementation of SAP Quality Management (QM) and Plant Maintenance (PM), specifically focusing on Calibration processes.
- Ensure the solutions are aligned with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Independently design and configure SAP solutions in the QM and PM modules.
- This includes defining business processes, master data management, and data migration strategies with a focus on calibration data.
- Provide strong guidance on the integration of SAP QM and PM modules with other business processes in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring that calibration and maintenance processes are optimized for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for SAP QM and PM systems.
- Produce Configuration Design Documents (CSD), Functional Design Documents (WRICEF), and other relevant documentation to support the implementation and enhancements.
- Work closely with the testing team to define test scenarios, review test scripts, and ensure comprehensive testing of configurations and developments.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and system demonstrations to ensure the solutions meet business needs.
- Deliver training sessions to end-users, helping them understand how to use SAP QM and PM processes effectively.
- Provide ongoing support post-go-live, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure that all processes and configurations adhere to GxP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards and relevant industry regulations.
- Experience with GxP IT environments is highly preferred, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Lead tasks according to the project plan, manage timelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of SAP QM/PM and Calibration process enhancements.
- Take ownership of cutover tasks and provide hypercare support post-go-live.
- Maintain effective communication with various stakeholders, including business users, project managers, and external vendors, to drive project success.
- Clearly explain SAP processes to business audiences and translate business needs into SAP solutions.
Key Skills and Qualifications :
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP QM, PM, and Calibration processes within large, complex projects.
- Experience in global projects is highly preferred.
- Strong business knowledge of pharma industry processes, especially in Quality Management, Plant Maintenance, and Calibration.
- Experience in a GxP-compliant environment is a significant advantage.
- Deep functional expertise in SAP QM and PM modules, with a focus on Calibration processes.
- Techno-functional experience is a plus, as the candidate will need to work closely with technical teams to deliver complex enhancements.
- Proven experience with SAP configuration, including the ability to produce high-quality Configuration Design Documents (CSD), Functional Design Documents (WRICEF), and other implementation documents.
- Ability to manage the review and approval process with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong experience in system testing, including test scenario development, script reviews, and UAT support.
- Familiarity with HP ALM for testing is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to deliver training and support end-users in understanding and using SAP processes.
- Ability to provide post-go-live support during the hypercare phase.
- Ability to adapt quickly to the strict compliance standards of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with GxP IT processes is highly beneficial.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP QM and PM configurations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex business requirements.
- Strong organizational skills to independently manage tasks per the project plan, including managing timelines, stakeholder expectations, and delivering projects on time and within budget
