Position Title : Director of Marketing & Sales

Company : Secure Group of Companies

Industry : Manufacturing of caps & closures for soft drinks, beverages, liquor, etc.

Location : Base: HO and Multiple (requires travel across various locations)

Reports to : Managing Director


Job Summery:
The Director Marketing & Sales will spearhead the strategic planning and execution of all marketing and sales activities for Secure Group of Companies across India. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in B2B industrial marketing, with a preference for expertise in the plastics or packaging industry. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage vendor and customer relationships, drive business development, and lead high-performing teams to achieve sustained growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand market presence, and drive customer acquisition across PAN India.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define growth targets and develop actionable plans.

Sales Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales data, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Foster long-term client relationships through consultative selling and exceptional customer service.

Marketing Oversight:

  • Plan and execute B2B marketing initiatives, including brand positioning, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
  • Leverage digital marketing, trade shows, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Vendor and Customer Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring reliable supply chains and competitive pricing.
  • Act as the primary liaison with major customers, addressing needs and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.

Planning and Fulfillment:

  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting and timely order fulfillment.
  • Optimize inventory management and logistics processes to meet customer expectations efficiently.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales and marketing team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide development opportunities for team members.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Establish robust customer service protocols to enhance the customer experience.
  • Address escalated customer issues promptly and ensure resolution in alignment with company standards.
  • Develop loyalty programs and retention strategies to build long-term relationships.

Required Qualifications and Experience:


  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.

  • Experience: 15-20 years of progressive experience in B2B industrial marketing and sales, with a preference for candidates from the plastics or packaging industry.

  • Industry Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of B2B sales dynamics, customer behavior, and market trends in the industrial sector.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to create and execute long-term business strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams across diverse locations.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong contract negotiation and vendor management abilities.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analysing sales data and market trends to drive informed decision-making.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities to address challenges proactively.
