Purchase Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to join our school's administration team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for the school, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with school regulations and laws

- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services

- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure best prices and quality

- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products

- Analyze and evaluate bids and proposals to ensure best value for the school

- Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documents

- Ensure compliance with school's budget and financial regulations

- Collaborate with department heads to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement transactions and inventory

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

- At least 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing management

- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification

- Experience working in an educational institution or non-profit organization
