Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
  
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
  
• Develop curriculum materials and assessments aligned with educational standards.
  
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methods and share best practices.
  
• Participate in school events, meetings, and activities as required.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3-8 years of experience as a Psychology teacher or related field (child psychology, counseling, psychiatry).
  
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  
• B.Ed degree from an accredited institution; additional certifications in special education or child development are desirable.
• Qualifications & Experience:
• Postgraduate degree in Psychology (Clinical / Counseling / Educational Psychology preferred).
• B.Ed. (preferred but not mandatory for counseling roles).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Psychology teacher or School Counselor in a reputed institution.
• Experience in a girls residential school will be an added advantage.
• Training or certification in counseling, child psychology, or mental health interventions is desirable.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Academic (PGT Psychology) & Counseling & Student Support:
• Teach Psychology as per CBSE curriculum (or respective board guidelines).
• Develop engaging lesson plans, conduct interactive classes, and use innovative teaching methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of psychology and implement best teaching practices.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, emotional, and social concerns.
• Assist students in managing stress, peer relationships, self-esteem, and overall well-being.
• Offer guidance on personal, social, and psychological issues, ensuring a supportive and confidential environment.
• Develop and implement strategies to address behavioral challenges and emotional distress in students.
• Provide support for students dealing with homesickness, adjustment issues, and other residential life challenges.
• Be actively involved in the well-being of residential students, ensuring their emotional and psychological health.
• Provide guidance to students on coping with challenges unique to a residential school setting.
• Conduct counseling sessions and workshops for parents on adolescent issues, stress management, and parenting strategies
